Vocal Music

Elementary School

Elementary Music is a fun and rewarding part of early education. Students learn about matching pitch, steady beat, rhythmic ostinato, and other musical fundamentals. They play and create rhythms on a variety of drum and percussion instruments. Musical concepts are built upon through play in singing, games, and dances. Older students love the challenge of learning to play the recorder. Productions throughout the year allow the opportunity for these young artists to demonstrate their new skills and growing love for music.

Middle School

Middle School Choir is composed of students in Grades 6-8. The students learn healthy vocal techniques, ear training theory, and sight-singing, which they use to develop a variety of repertoire written specifically for the needs of the changing voice. The choir enjoys several performance opportunities throughout the year as well as attendance at festivals and competitions.

High School

High School Choir is composed of students in Grades 9 through 12. The students learn healthy vocal techniques, ear training, sight-singing, theory, and a variety of choral literature. They perform regularly at school concerts, chapels, and at various festivals and competitions. Outstanding students have the opportunity to participate in solo and ensemble selections as well as with the full choir.

Show Choir

The Show Choir is the premier performing ensemble of our choral program, featuring dedicated and self-driven students selected by audition from within our choir classes. This fast-paced, high-energy group tackles advanced and dynamic repertoire that challenges both vocal and performance skills. Members are expected to demonstrate strong musicianship, consistent commitment, and a collaborative spirit. Through teamwork and determination, Show Choir members develop confidence, artistry, and a deep love for making music together.

Worship Team

The Worship Team is composed of skillful and spiritually grounded musicians who demonstrate strong leadership and a heart for worship. Meeting twice a week, the team brings together both middle and high school students, fostering mentorship and unity across grade levels. Students continue to develop healthy vocal technique, ear training, live sound skills, and familiarity with a wide variety of contemporary worship music. Our focus is to grow as servant leaders, learning how to lead with vulnerability to the Holy Spirit while striving for excellence, as excellence honors the One who created us.
