You may have heard the saying, “actions speak louder than words,” and dance beautifully embodies that truth.
Through movement, we have the ability to express thoughts, emotions, and worship in ways words often cannot. Dance becomes a powerful form of communication—one that glorifies our Creator and reflects the artistry He instills in us.
At Atlantic Christian Academy, we believe that dance is both a gift and a calling. Many of our students have been blessed with a passion for movement and creativity, and it is our joy to help nurture and develop those God-given talents.
Dance combines creativity with discipline. It requires both freedom and control, strength and grace. Within our program, students learn proper technique, body awareness, and placement, while also discovering how movement can be an act of worship. Scripture offers many examples of dance as praise—Miriam celebrating with tambourines after Israel’s deliverance (Exodus 15:20), and David dancing before the Lord in joy (2 Samuel 6:16). Like music, painting, or theatre, dance is a form of art that can be deeply worshipful and God-honoring.
The ACA Dance Department strives to cultivate both excellence and expression. Our classes encourage students to move with purpose, to worship through artistry, and to understand that dance is not merely a performance for an earthly audience, but a heartfelt offering to the One who created us to move.
Elementary Dance (Kindergarten - Grade 5)
Our elementary after-school dance program introduces students to the foundations of dance technique in a fun and encouraging environment. Young dancers explore rhythm, coordination, and creative expression while developing confidence and a love for movement.
Middle and High School Dance (Grades 6-12)
Students in grades 6–12 can take dance as an elective course, where they build upon foundational skills and deepen their understanding of dance as an art form. Through structured technique classes and performance opportunities, dancers refine their abilities and grow artistically, preparing for advanced or pre-professional level training.
